Heritage-listed structures dating to 1890 anchor you in history, while Thredbo, Perisher, and Charlotte Pass are just 45 minutes up the road for world-class skiing and snowboarding.

The Property

A home with a soul on ten pristine hectares

Top Place Moonbah is an escape to peace. A place to reset and reframe. A place to dream about another way - small ideas in big mountains. Listen to the river, talk to your family, play cards on the deck while sipping on the fresh mountain air. A place to slow down.

Stay at one of two properties. Top Place Lodge is a thoughtfully designed home which comfortable sleeps 8 people. There are two slow-combustion wood fireplaces, large windows and well-considered spaces take full advantage of the tranquil river-side setting. Top Place Hut is a heritage-listed two-bedroom cottage — originally constructed in 1890, it is the oldest remaining structure in the Moonbah area. A place were the men from the snowy river stayed as they drove the brumbies down from the mountains. It has a very special connection to the area’s history.
